Position Summary

The Part-Time Admission Counselor will contribute to the University's mission by recruiting and supporting students for the Accelerated Nursing Program and the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Program—two high-demand pathways that prepare graduates for meaningful careers in healthcare. Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary admission contact for prospective students interested in the Accelerated Nursing Program and the MS in Physician Assistant Program.
  • Plan and conduct outreach and recruitment activities, including virtual and in-person information sessions, college fairs, and community events.
  • Partner with education service providers to share key updates on academic calendars, admissions policies, and clearance requirements.
  • Provide individualized counseling to applicants on program requirements, application procedures, and financial aid opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Aid Office to monitor clearance status for admitted and deposited students.
  • Work closely with academic departments and campus partners to ensure prospective students receive accurate program information, with attention to compliance and readiness standards.
  • Review applications and support the evaluation and selection process in collaboration with faculty and admission committees.
  • Maintain accurate applicant records and communication logs within the CRM system.
  • Contribute to marketing initiatives by providing content for promotional materials and digital campaigns targeting healthcare students.
  • Assist with planning and execution of onboarding and orientation activities for newly admitted students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in admissions, recruitment, or student services.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with enrollment trends in nursing and physician assistant education preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems, including Slate and Ellucian Banner.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving diverse populations and supporting the values of Catholic higher education.

Benefits

The allotted hourly rate is $35.00 per hour
