Job Summary The Admission Counselor is directly responsible for the recruitment of traditional undergraduate students and will manage all aspects of the admissions funnel for prospective students within an assigned geographic territory in order to meet stated recruitment goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Represent Delaware Valley University by conducting recruitment travel to college fairs, high schools, and other off-campus events to an assigned territory in order to meet stated goals
- Build and cultivate relationships with and assist prospective students and families throughout all phases of the admission process (inquiry through enrollment)
- Assist with Alumni - Admissions & Aggies in the Classroom Recruitment Initiatives
- Conduct interviews, appointments, and group information sessions for prospective students and their families
- Conduct and maintain regular phone, email, direct mail, and other contact with prospective students and their parents throughout admissions/enrollment process
- Develop in-depth knowledge about DelVal and the academic and extracurricular programs at DelVal, and articulate these messages to prospective students, families, guidance counselors and the community
- Review application files for admission and make appropriate recommendations for admission decisions using stated criteria
- Build relationships with parents, guidance counselors, DelVal academic departments and other constituents of the Admission Office
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Valid Driver's License
- No prior experience necessary
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Office or computer room
- Typically sitting at a desk or table
- Evenings and weekends as needed
- Travel (>1000 mi/month) during the peak recruitment seasons of September - November/March - May
- Occasional lifting 50lbs or less
