Posting Details Position Information Position Title Admission Counselor - International Admission Job ResponsibilitiesAdmission Counselor - International Admission - manages the enrollment process for new international students and assists in the planning and implementation of recruitment activities. This position helps facilitate the university's mission to recruit, support and retain a diverse student body. This role involves building relationships with prospective students and families abroad, evaluating applications, guiding students through the admissions process, and representing the institution at virtual and in-person events internationally. This position reports to the Associate Director of Admission. Duties and Responsibilities • Manage the enrollment process for new international students • Oversee and carry out communication with prospective international applicants • Organize and carry out the expedient and efficient processing of international applications • Utilize the university's recruitment and admission software program (CRM) and work to develop additional processes and functions within the CRM • Verify and analyze international application credentials • Admit qualified undergraduates and pre-screen and recommend graduate applications to academic departments • Access the federal SEVIS database to create student records and documents for student visa processing and update the SEVIS database as needed in conjunction with the International Student Advisor • Create reports as needed for recruitment planning and admission tracking Recruiting: • Supports the enrollment goals of the university by following policies and processes for international students • Responsible for creating and maintain relationships with entities abroad to further the goals of the university • Assist in the implementation of various recruitment activities for international applicants • Engage in domestic and international travel for international student recruitment purposes • Develop and maintain recruitment relationships abroad and participate in the training and updating of partners and professional agents overseas • Work with the other professional staff members to implement communication plans for prospective students in general and for specific countries/regions of the world • Participate in the development and updating of recruitment materials including brochures, profiles, videos, webpages and social media posts • Perform other duties as assigned Truman offers an attractive benefits package including paid sick and vacation time; paid holidays; medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and retirement plan.
