The Administrator II will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions for one of North America's largest and fastest growing providers of public transit services, emphasizing Metro's beliefthat transportation as a fundamental human right. The primary focus of the Administrator II will be to provide a range of administrative services such as personnel, budget, problem solving, program development and administration functions for the Transit Facilities Division. Our ideal candidate will be skilled in navigating a dynamic work environment and be able to manage multiple, competing priorities to successfully deliver a large body of work in a fast-paced environment, as well as the ability to coach, motivate and unify employees through building mutual respect and trust. About Metro's Facilities Division The Facilities Division maintains all Metro Transit properties, such as bus bases, park & rides, bus shelters, and offices and maintenance shops. Services include bus shelter repairs and replacements, bus shelter cleaning, trolley wire repairs, radio maintenance for buses, environmental spill clean-up, bus sign replacement, graffiti removal, and other facilities maintenance duties. Additionally, the Facilities Division also implements capital improvement and grant-funded projects aimed to enhance the condition of County-owned facilities and to respond to ridership needs based on route usage and customer feedback. This recruitment will immediately fill one (1) fully benefitted Special Duty Assignment (SDA) position, with an anticipated duration of 12 months with the potential to extend. This recruitment may be used to establish an eligibility pool to fill future Special Duty Assignment vacancies within this classification and division.   • Led ESJ initiative to assess and address gaps in the training equity and accessibility to ensure the Learn Management System is promoting inclusive learning experience for all.
  • Collaborate with EIB and others team in collecting and analyst equity data, to integrate inclusive practices into training materials, and ensuring that all employees have equal opportunities for growth and advancement.
  • Manage section on-boarding program process including preparation of training and new hire documents, submittal, monitoring, reporting, and site visits of essential facilities locations.
  • Provide support in the offboarding of exiting employees, collecting, documenting and returning of assets.
  • Developing and support the TFD employee development pathways program.
  • Prepare reports for each employee that detail the required and optional training for the job classification, the dates the classes were taken, and highlight any requirements for the upcoming year.
  • May oversee training, scheduling, and assigning of duties for new personnel during on-boarding and with administrative staff.
  • Develop communication tools and informational briefings to support the BMSS Employee Development and Learn Management System program.
  • Establish and maintain effective lines of communication with leaders and teams within TFD and other stakeholders.
  • Manage the TFD NEOGOV Learn management system, develop e-learning trainings and lead the project in the TFD training records transfer to NEOGOV Learn
  • Teach internal TFD courses which may require becoming certified and provide train the trainer course as needed
  • Help research or develop new training to help met the TFD business needs and create training documents, lesson plans, and other need artifacts.
  • Support and assist with the TFD Apprenticeship programs.
  • Support safety committee responsibilities including coordinating and scheduling training that meets legal compliance with Washington Administrative Code, WISHA, L&I and Transit Safety priorities and provide follow-up for the Section's safety committees.
  • Perform periodic audits of work practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and/or other training requirements or standards.
  • Assist the workgroups as needed in a variety of areas and projects including Continuous Improvement cycles.
  • Support the TFD Continuous Improvement teams training program including assisting with trainings, updating training records, and developing NEOGOV courses and/or surveys.
  • Support the TFD Business Analyst group with developing and providing end user training as need.
  • Support the TFD Business Transformation team with leadership development training program as need.
  • Develop and manage a project of limited scope within work unit.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
