The position requires the ability to multi-task in the performance of administrative duties in a high volume, fast-paced environment, while dealing courteously and effectively with fellow employees and citizens. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Performs administrative duties including basic typing, scanning, creating files, filing, answering telephones, taking messages, copying, data entry, and computer operation. The ability to work independently and seek help or assistance as needed. Self-motivated and highly organized to prioritize daily responsibilities. Distinctly dependable and trustworthy with consistent daily work ethics. Responds to inquiries for information from County, State, and Federal officials and well as the public via telephone and in person. Drafts, edits, and distributes correspondence pertaining to Veterans benefits including nursing home, health care, and educational assistance.
