Administrative Associate (Augmented)Department: Human Resources Employment Type: Contract Location: Kyger Creek Reporting To: Department Manager or Designee Compensation: $21.23 - $29.24 / hour DescriptionContract Position through Third Party Responsible for performing administrative support duties within the assigned area. Responsibilities are specific to the job location (i.e. plant, department, etc.). Expected to align personal goals with OVEC/IKEC Strategic Business Plan, it's the Mission, Vision and Values, as well as its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts. Employees are expected to actively support the OVEC-IKEC Strategic Plan. Listed below are the five sections of the plan and a brief overview of each.

Employees are expected to follow the contents of the OVEC-IKEC Code of Business Conduct. The Code defines both the ethical and legal standards by which employees are expected to operate every day. It is the responsibility of each of us to maintain the highest level of personal integrity in all of our work efforts. Key Responsibilities Dependent upon experience and education, key responsibilities may include more difficult and responsible administrative activities.
  • Under supervision, perform basic, routine administrative duties, following well defined, standard procedures; compile reports, review various Maximo reports and ensure corrections are made as needed.
  • Assist with document processing, proof reading, posting ledgers, sorting, summarizing and calculating data.
  • Assist in filing and retrieval of information in both hard copy and electronic formats.
  • Assist with preparation of routine departmental reports and correspondence; answer telephone, take messages, and communicate via electronic mail (Company email system), as necessary; receive and distribute incoming and outgoing mail; use keyboard (computer/typewriter) to enter data; operate a wide variety of electronic and mechanical office equipment.
  • Perform duties in accordance with the Company's procedures, practices, and safety rules; report irregularities and abnormal conditions; cooperate with employees assigned; assist in the training of other employees; assist employees of equal or higher classification.
  • Perform similar or less skilled work; maintain confidentiality of Company matters and data as required.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills:
  • Listens to and understands written and verbal instruction, communicates effectively with co-workers and other employees, answers phone calls clearly and with a friendly, helpful tone; records messages accurately with appropriate information; works effectively and productively with others; actively helps others with assignments as necessary to maintain department productivity; answer inquires but know when appropriate to refer questions or issues to others.
  • Perform duties in accordance with all applicable federal and state safety laws and regulations, and all applicable company safety rules and operating procedures; when supervising others, assure that safe work practices are followed and conduct safety meetings; make suggestions for the improvement of the safety program and encourage others to do so.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Must possess a working knowledge of software used by the Company; possess the ability to organize data and processes and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Through a combination of education and/or experience, must have sufficient knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities listed above as well as the ability to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to perform the duties and/or responsibilities of a higher classification in the line of promotion.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Computer skills and clerical experience preferred.
