Administrative Assistant To The Vice President Of Finance And Administration

Location: Athens Campus Department: Finance And Administration Reports To: Vice President Of Finance And Administration Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. State of Georgia benefits package. Deadline to Apply: August 14, 2025 at 4:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive visitors, answer telephone calls, and provide appropriate information and assistance to faculty and staff members, students, visitors, and callers
  • Assist the Vice-President, Director of Accounting, Director of Human Resources, Executive Director of Facilities, and the Executive Director of Student Accounts and Financial Aid with correspondence as needed
  • Perform routine word processing and electronic data management tasks
  • Establish and maintain a general filing system
  • Obtain and maintain PeopleSoft security access for new hires and/or changes
  • Prepare requisitions for the Business Office, Human Resources, and Facilities
  • Responsible for the reconciliation of the monthly purchasing card on the TGM system
  • Communicate with the AT&T on all telecommunications requests
  • Open and clock in all invoices for accounts payable and checks for A/R
  • Receive Purchase Orders in PeopleSoft for non-goods purchase orders
  • Act as back-up cashier
  • Print weekly check run and verify check amounts match supporting documentation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of work related experience OR Associate degree in Business Administrative Technology and two (2) years of work-related experience. Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience working for the State of Georgia or prior experience as an administrative assistant regardless of degree level.
