Position Type: Secretarial/Clerical Date Posted: 8/26/2025 Location: Administration Center Date Available: 2025-2026 School Year Closing Date: Until Position Filled Administrative Assistant to the Director of Special Services Qualifications: High School Diploma (minimum) plus basic secretarial and computer skills experience: word, excel etc. Reports to: Director of Special Services Evaluation: As determined by the District Work Calendar: Full-Time, 12 month position Position Goal: To provide and secure efficient and confidential operation of the Office of Special Services Rate of Pay/Benefits: Salary range $58,000-$66,000. The position includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits. The Administrative Assistant to the Director of Special Services shall perform all duties as assigned by the Director of Special Services and perform other duties as assigned by the Administrators: Superintendent/Board:
- Assist in preparation of reports for Board of Education meetings
- Implements and observes all Board of Education policies and regulations and administrative rules and regulations
- Fulfills all responsibilities as building receptionist and maintains the building security System
Office:
- Coordinate and implement all office tasks
- Sort and distribute incoming mail
- Assist in preparing reports for the Director
- Assist in maintaining all District Special Education files which includes 504 plans
- Compile, maintain and file all Special Education reports, records and legal documents
- Assist in Pre-School and Kindergarten Screening, Registration and State reports
- Assist with reports and maintaining records for English Language Learners (EL)
- Maintain records for Home Instruction for Home Bound and hospitalized students
- Assist in collecting records and filing reports for Medicaid reimbursement
- Coordinates all paperwork/background checks for district volunteers
Individual:
- Maintain confidentiality of all communication relative to this position
- Attend meetings, seminars and workshops to remain current in areas related to this office
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Administration
- Be knowledgeable of the District safety plan
