Responsible for answering the company phones and greeting visitors. Serve as the first point of contact for new visitors and callers to the company.
Duties And ResponsibilitiesAnswer the phones in a friendly, helpful, and efficient manner.
Greet vendors, customers, applicants, etc. and direct them to the appropriate company personnel.
Assist with the creation and distribution of sales reports.
Organize and manage facility events.
May have certain accounting/bookkeeping functions.
Comply with company policies and procedures.
Additional duties as assigned by management.
Education And/Or ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED
Two years general office experience
A friendly, professional image and demeanor.
Experience with MS Word
Candidates are preferred who offer the following:
At least 6 or more months of experience as a front desk receptionist.
Two or more years experience with MS Word and knowledge of MS Excel
Self-motivated; ability to work with minimal supervision
Spanish as an additional or second language
Language Skills
Excellent speaking and phone communication skills.
Physical DemandsEmployee is regularly required to walk and talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and stand. Vision requirements include: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Performance Measurements
The performance of the Receptionist will be measured as follows:
Operating standards - The employee will need to meet or exceed the Operating Standards set in the area of administration. Such standards will be set annually and communicated to the assistant.
Personal growth - Each year there will be professional goals developed and agreed to by the assistant and President.
Employee relations The employee will be evaluated regarding behaviors associated with appropriate human interaction, respect and communication and ability to exercise discretion.
