Position: Administrative Assistant Department: Atheltics Campus: North Manchester, IN Target Hire Date: August 2025 Manchester University is seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to support our Athletics Department. This full-time position plays a vital role in the daily operations of the department, offering administrative support, managing student-athlete eligibility and compliance records, coordinating events, and overseeing student support staff. What You'll Do:
  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the athletic staff.
  • Coordinate internal and external communications and manage departmental records.
  • Supervise and evaluate student employees supporting athletics and recruitment.
  • Plan and organize departmental events including the Friends of Manchester Golf Outing, Hall of Fame Luncheon, and Athletic Awards Program.
  • Serve as secretary for Athletic Committee meetings and assist with scheduling and contracts for athletic contests.
  • Oversee student-athlete eligibility tracking and compliance in coordination with the Registrar's office.
  • Maintain NCAA compliance and participation records.
  • Assist with planning and hosting post-season tournaments.
  • Provide support for budget preparation and handle inquiries related to athletics operations.
What You'll Need:
  • High school diploma required; post-secondary education strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in office software, including word processing, spreadsheets, email, and database systems.
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and work independently.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
