General Job DescriptionUnder occasional supervision, performs a variety of complex administrative, secretarial and clerical duties in order to ensure effective and efficient office operations.Duties for this Position* Provides assistance to department management, co-workers and the general public as required.* Reports to immediate supervisor.* Receives, reviews, prepares and/or submits a variety of documents such as department records, logs, inventory lists, routine reports, official documents, schedules, civil papers, etc.* Performs general office duties, answering phones, taking messages, distributing mail, etc.* Daily administrative support to command staff and office manager.* Submit work orders to maintenance.* Order Office Supplies.* Coordinate Service Work Orders and order supplies from Ricoh.* Be trained in the MUNIS software.* Requisitions/Purchase Orders/Check Requests* Prepare letters of correspondencePosition Minimum Requirements* Associate degree in Secretarial Science, or equivalent preferred and one year of general office/clerical experience or high school diploma and three years of clerical/general office experience, or any equivalent combination of training, experience, knowledge and abilities. Must have experience with computer and office software packages.* Must be able to pass the required pre-employment physical, polygraph exam, and background check.
