Located in the heart of Lake Country, District 20 is the home to Lake Murray, Lake Texoma, Lake of the Arbuckles and the Chickasaw National Recreational Center, Turner Falls, as well as Lake Crest Hotel & Casino at Lake Murray, Winstar Casino, Artesian Hotel & Casino, and soon the Hard Rock Caf at Lake Texoma. Carter County is the main office in the district with satellite offices in Johnston, Love, Marshall & Murray Counties. Ardmore is a growing community with a vibrant downtown and small town feel with big city amenities located half-way between Oklahoma City and Dallas. The office is open Monday -Friday 8-5 and closed for an hour for lunch.
Education And ExperienceHigh school graduate; work experience with dealing with the public, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Position SummaryPrepare and file criminal cases with the Court, Docket and calendar events, Answer phones and handle walk-in traffic as needed, build files, correspond with law enforcement, and other state and local agencies, Pulling files for the weekly court dockets.
Required SkillsAbility to write and speak effectively, Computer skills, primarily MS Office including Word and Excel, and knowledge of office machines such as phone, copier/fax and printer, Knowledge of legal and juvenile terminology a plus, but not required, Professional dress and attitude required. Applicants must possess strong writing and research skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and work with law enforcement, elected officials, attorneys, and other agencies.
