Administrative Assistant

The Department of Physical Therapy, Movement, and Rehabilitation Sciences is housed in the School of Clinical and Rehabilitation Sciences and Bouv College of Health Sciences. With 35 full-time faculty and another 50 part-time faculty, this department houses a Doctor of Physical Therapy Program and Master's and PhD programs in Human Movement and Rehabilitation Sciences. This growing department takes an interdisciplinary approach to health, from providing healthcare services to designing and developing devices and sensors to capture human movement for feedback, prevention, and rehabilitation.

As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office and supporting various programs. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Scheduling and coordinating meetings and appointments
  • Handling correspondence and communication, social media, and daily newsletter
  • Assisting with program planning and execution
  • Maintaining organized data, files storage, and departmental archives
  • Be cross-trained to provide general administrative support to other staff and faculty
  • Managing office supplies and inventory
  • Assist with event planning
  • Be cross-trained to cover for other staff
  • Basic understanding of budget processes

Knowledge of office administration practices and processes; basic level of proficiency with MS Office products, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook. Other technology skills include Canvas, Courseleaf, Smartsheet, Tableau, Examsoft, Banner, and EXXAT. Skills required include ability to plan, organize and set priorities; time management; attention to detail, interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to carry out special assignments by completing activities, monitoring progress, and ensuring work is completed accurately and on time. Skills and knowledge for this position are typically acquired through the completion of an Associate degree or equivalent and 1-3 years' relevant experience.

Compensation Grade/Pay Type: 106H

Expected Hiring Range: $23.02 - $31.66
