Job Summary The University of North Georgia is accepting applications for an Administrative Assistant III position in the School of Communication, Film & Theatre. CFT is an interdisciplinary academic unit housing three distinct but collaborative disciplines. This position is responsible for scheduling courses for all three academic programs on all campuses as well as working with counterparts at Brenau to schedule theatre courses, obtaining and storing all documents required of faculty, managing schedules for the director and associate directors, reserving space for extracurricular activities, acting as the receptionist and public face of the School, purchasing, and file maintenance. In addition to background checks for all cardholders, O.C.G.A. § 50-5-83 requires a credit check on all employees issued a purchasing card. Additionally, credit checks must be run at the time of Pcard renewal.
Responsibilities - Communicating with and assisting UNG faculty, students, and staff by responding to requests and complaints and offering guidance/options to a satisfactory conclusion; preparing and sending intercampus mail
- Sorting and distributing incoming mail
- Coordinating receipt of official documentation for all new hires.
- Initiating annual evaluations each semester and ensuring confidentiality.
- Obtaining all required syllabi, roll verifications, low cost/no cost course documentation, textbooks, and gradebooks for all CFT faculty on all UNG campuses and our partner institution Brenau University; and overseeing posting of faculty office hours and class schedules each semester.
- Assisting with course scheduling for all CFT programs; inputting course schedules in the Banner system for all campuses, including courses cross-listed with Brenau University and the Georgia Film Academy.
- Providing assistance during student advising and registration periods, giving tours to prospective students, providing syllabi, and facilitating all student paperwork (course substitutions, overload requests, ILAs, field trip forms), and getting UNG credentials for Brenau University students.
- Putting in requests for Reservations for all of CFT, approving Room Reservations for the Nesbitt, Film and Digital Media, and Performing Arts buildings; serving as building coordinator and supervising upkeep of facilities, workrooms, maintenance requests, work orders, and IT requests.
- Administering travel forms and all other faculty related paperwork including: Affiliate paperwork for Brenau University faculty/staff and guest artists, REP192, Contract Addendums, Emergency Contact Forms, PAFs, PT forms, and other university business forms; assisting with travel arrangements and completion of expense reimbursement requests.
- Collaborating with the School Business Officer on the CFT budget and purchasing supplies and equipment unique to the Communication and Film & Digital Media programs, including reconciliation of purchasing card transactions and budget tracking.
- Scheduling and coordinating school events and meetings, including appointments and meetings for the Director and three Associate Directors, and serving as the Business Director of the Georgia Film Festival.

- Knowledge of office practices, procedures, systems and equipment.
- Requires advanced knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc.
- Requires a general working knowledge of the school's disciplinary and artistic areas.

Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree required
