Administrative Assistant - HR Support
The primary role of the Administrative Assistant - HR Support is the day-to-day administration of company policies and procedures for recruiting, onboarding, employee files and databases, benefits, personnel policies, and safety programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Welcome new employees to the organization by meeting for onboarding paperwork, sending offer letters out and conducting new hire orientation.
- Keep employee records up to date in HRIS by processing employee changes in a timely manner.
- Maintain hard-copy and electronic personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
- Answer employee questions and address employee concerns.
- Distribute performance reviews and ensure company compensation policies and grading structure are being followed.
- Responsible for I-9 file maintenance and compliance.
- Complete employment verifications and inquiries.
- Manage tuition reimbursement process.
- Respond to unemployment claims and represent Goodwill in appeal hearings.
- Compile required HR reports.
- Cross train into other areas of HR to serve as a back-up for other Human Resource Team Members.
- Meet or exceed attendance expectations for this position.
- Actively maintain a safe, healthy, and positive environment that promotes the physical and emotional well-being of employees, customers, and participants.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- One year of Human Resources experience preferred.
- One to two years of administrative support experience preferred.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software required.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- First Aid and CPR certification.
