Administrative Assistant for Academic Services Are you organized, approachable, and ready to make a difference in the day-to-day academic life of our students and faculty? We're looking for a friendly and proactive Administrative Assistant for Academic Services to join our supportive team. In this role, you'll help keep academic operations running smoothly across several campus buildings, while working alongside dedicated staff and faculty who care deeply about student success. What You'll Do Your days will be full of meaningful contributions, including:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for several academic buildings, serving as a central resource for all building-related matters.
  • Providing clerical and administrative support to keep our academic operations running smoothly.
  • Taking meeting notes and managing records for various college committees and divisions.
  • Assisting faculty with course evaluations, senior surveys, program assessments, and reports.
  • Coordinating work orders, IT requests, and room reservations.
  • Supporting faculty searches and helping prepare for key campus events like Matriculation, Honors Day, Baccalaureate, and Commencement.
  • Handling purchases and tracking supplies for academic needs.
  • Communicating important information like syllabi, faculty office hours, and class cancellations.
  • Supporting key offices and programs like Institutional Research, Career Services, and First-Year Advising.
  • Pitching in on other projects and tasks as assigned by the Academic Operations Manager or Chief Academic Officer.
What We're Looking For
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree is preferred, ideally in a related field.
  • Experience: Background in academic administration or operations, especially in a liberal arts setting, is highly valued.
  • Technical Skills: You should be comfortable with data systems, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
  • Soft Skills: A friendly, professional attitude with strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.
  • Detail-Oriented: We need someone who can respond accurately and efficiently.
  • Discretion: You'll be trusted with sensitive information, so a high ethical standard is essential.
