GPD is currently seeking an Administrative Analyst to support the continued growth of our Power Utility team in our Akron, Ohio office location. This person would operate as an administrative professional who coordinates and optimizes the project portfolio submittal process while also utilizing their analytical and technological skills to refresh our current process and organizational data system management.

Role Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business/Accounting/Engineering Technology.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a professional office setting performing administrative and/or analytical tasks.
  • Experience working at an engineering firm a plus.
  • Proficiency in utilizing Smartsheet and Deltek Vantage a plus.
  • Confident ability working within the Microsoft Office Suite: Power BI, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Exposure and interest in AutoCAD design a plus.
  • Experience navigating through various permitting and project package details for submittals.
  • Experience coordinating with leadership, clients and varying levels of the organization.
  • Enjoys critically evaluating project processes and client systems and implementing process improvements, developing best practices and finding ways to improve efficiencies.
  • Thrives in a collaborative project environment and enjoys all forms of communication while working with clients and team members (virtual, in-person, phone).
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure efficient support to implementation of the project portfolio.
  • Project organizational setup and submittal for the high voltage/power sector and associated clients.
    • Collaboration with project managers, engineers and clients.
    • Coordinate document handling, bill of materials, transmittal letters and file management on the Cloud and Sharepoint.
    • Review documents work with QA/QC personnel to ensure designs are at GPD standard.
    • Data organization and entry for internal and external processes.
    • Coordinate drawing package, assembly, coordination, submittals and document management.
    • Support project planning.
    • Learn existing and new client operational standards.
  • Provide support in managing requests for day-to-day administration within the Power team.
