Job Description:
Responsible for managing the official Qualified Products List (QPL) repository of documentation for product qualifications and recertifications interacting with state departments of transportation (DOT) product evaluation programs. This person facilitates the information collection process working with cross-functional team members, such as but not limited to Product Management, Sales, Science and Technology, Quality Assurance, Product Stewardship, and Specifications.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain comprehensive and organized repository of documentation for all U.S. states and Canadian provinces for efficient and supportive reference
* Ensure timely preparation of DOT submittals to meet approval and recertification deadlines; monitor progress until evaluation finalized
* Liaison with DOT product evaluation program managers and coordinators tracking status of evaluation process and anticipated tracking of Build America Buy America (BABA) aspects
* Collaborate to expand strategic initiatives tracking risks, rewards, sales opportunities, and market growth related to QPL inclusion
* Support product management and commercial growth initiatives related to new product development stages requiring product evaluations for market introduction
* Maintain updates to the QPL Master Listing on Sharepoint used by cross-functional teams providing continual support regarding functionality of the database
* Keep commercial teams informed of QPL updates related to company's products as well as competitive QPL activities
* Ensure documents are structured in accordance with company's policies and legal requirements
* Ensure QPL strategic milestones are met in accordance with procedures
* Ensure knowledge of QPL management skills is current with learning of new standards and procedures introduced by government agencies
* Participate in Management of Change (MOC) team dialogue ensuring new product approvals impacting SKU selection for IBP/Demand is communicated in timely manner
* Develop thorough understanding of all Traffic Solutions products and market segments
* Perform additional assignments such as but not limited to online research and process improvement initiatives to support QPL initiatives
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor s degree preferred
* Customer service or relative administrative experience;
* 3-5 years of experience
* Demonstrated experience with government agency and contractor engagement, a plus
Skills and Knowledge:
* Ability and knowledge in Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint)
* Ability and knowledge in ERP and Customer Relation Management applications (Salesforce, Traverse)
* Working knowledge within the traffic safety market is a plus
* Strong verbal and written communications skills
* Ability to take on responsibilities, challenges, and monitor processes requiring discernment of priorities to meet deadlines and mitigate risk
