As an Admin Assistant within the North Georgia Health District at the Georgia Department of Public Health, you will join a dedicated group of public health professionals that help support the overall mission and vision of protecting the lives of Georgian residents in a variety of ways. Location: District Health Office (BCW) in Dalton, GA. Job Responsibilities Under direct supervision, performs a variety of general secretarial, clerical, and administrative support functions/processes or a few specialized or essential clerical functions in support of a unit or office and related personnel. May enter data and/or process documents and records. The work includes operating standard office equipment.
- Duties performed under the close supervision of a clerical or administrative supervisor.
- May include completing developmental screenings.
- Home visits with parents and children may be required.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma/GED AND the ability to perform basic office functions and computer related duties. Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Comfortable using the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiar with the children with special needs programs.
