The ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in the classroom by developing and using effective teaching strategies that meet students' diverse needs and engage the student in critical thinking and problem solving.The department of Foreign Languages is currently seeking a Spanish Instructor (PT) to begin Fall Semester 2024Please note: This position may require fully teaching in-person, as hybrid schedules are not guaranteed.Duties And Responsibilities

You must demonstrate excellence in teaching, commitment to integrating new technologies in the learning process and the ability to inspire, motivate and empower students to succeed.
Maintain office hours for advising, mentoring and coaching students.
Development and revision of courses and instructional materials as necessary.
Post syllabi and grades on Blackboard.

Qualifications

A PhD in Spanish, with significant course work in Spanish is preferred; with significant research in Spanish.
At minimum, you must have a MA in Spanish, with appropriate course work in Spanish.

In addition to the minimum requirements, you must be focused on effective teaching; assessment of student learning; and continuous growth in the field of study. We also value expertise in student-centered teaching; facility with instructional technology, including Blackboard Learning Management System; and a commitment to professional development in teaching.To Apply
