Position SummaryThe Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at LIU Brooklyn invites applications for an Adjunct Professor in Speech Science. This role is ideally suited for an individual with a profound understanding of the acoustic, linguistic, and neurological foundations of speech perception and production. The successful candidate will possess the expertise to situate this knowledge within the context of assessment and intervention practices employed by Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for individuals with various communication disabilities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive grasp of speech science, particularly in its application to the clinical practices and perspectives of SLPs in addressing a range of communication challenges.
Key ResponsibilitiesThis position offers the opportunity to significantly contribute to the education of future speech therapists, providing them with the foundational knowledge and clinical perspectives essential for effective practice in a diverse range of communication disorders. We seek a candidate who is passionate about speech science and eager to inspire and educate the next generation of SLP professionals.
Salary Range$1,000-$1,350 per credit
