Ideal candidates would teach up to 9 contact hours in the following courses:Microbiology (BIOL 315, 3 cr, MWF 11:00 - 11:50 AM) and the co-requisite labsMicrobiology laboratory (BIOL 317, 1 cr, M 1:30 - 3:20 PM)Microbiology laboratory (BIOL 317, 1 cr, F 1:30 - 3:20 PM)Preference is given to candidates who are excellent and innovative teachers and have a demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in STEM education. These courses will meet face-to-face on the Springfield, MA campus. The compensation for adjunct faculty with fewer than 3 years of college teaching experience is $2820 for a 3-credit/contact hour course. The compensation for adjunct faculty with 3 or more years of college teaching experience is $3513 for a 3-credit/contact hour course.Qualifications Candidates must possess at minimum a Master's Degree in Biology or related field from a regionally accredited institution. Experience teaching at the college level is preferred. Graduate students who have completed two years of a scientific PhD program will also be considered.
