Description: The Department of Visual Arts & Music at Columbia College, Missouri Day Campus seeks an Adjunct (part-time) instructor to teach Graphic Design I and Graphic Design II/III courses in the Fall 25 with possible renewal in Spring 26 for Typography, Wed Design I, and Corporate Identity. Columbia College is known for its small class sizes, which enrich teaching and mentoring experiences. The successful candidate will join faculty and staff committed to innovative, student-centered pedagogy at a liberal arts and sciences teaching institution located in Columbia, MO, one of America's most livable small cities. The Department of Visual Arts and Music currently has six other full-time faculty. This position will support students pursuing degrees in the BA in Graphic Design, BA in Art, and the Bachelor of Fine Arts. Qualifications: Minimum requirements include a master's degree in the discipline, or 18 semester/27 quarter hours of graduate work in the discipline, or an undergraduate degree with a minimum of three years demonstrated relevant professional experience. Exceptions may be considered with approval of the dean. The position requires an ability to effectively teach undergraduate courses, a commitment to student-centered learning, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to use various instructional technologies.
