Adjunct Faculty: Court Reporting (COR Development)Priority Application Date: August 11, 2025 (open until filled)Anticipated Start Date: September 8, 2025 Job description: Taft College is seeking a pool of qualified candidates with demonstrated instructional skills to join an outstanding team of faculty and staff to provide high quality programs and services for our students. Qualified Adjunct Faculty will be included in the Adjunct Faculty pool for Court Reporting. The selected candidate will develop a Course Outline of Record (COR) for a court reporting Voice Writing Theory course and Program Narratives for Court Reporting certificates.Compensation will be at the applicable adjunct rate, up to 5 hours per new course and up to 5 hours per new certificate program narrative. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum qualifications for this posting can be met in any of the following three ways:
  • bachelor's degree or higher AND two years of professional experience closely related to the area of assignment; OR
  • any associate degree AND six years of professional experience closely related to the area of assignment; OR
  • An Equivalency Determination may be submitted along with all application materials to be considered for this position if you do not meet the stated minimum qualifications. The Equivalency Determination document may also be found on the Taft College Human Resources website.
  • Must demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Experience teaching Court Reporting courses.
    • Experience with Voice Writing software and equipment.
    COMPENSATION: $77.02-$90.50 per hour. REQUIRED MATERIALS FOR APPLICATION:
