Job Description: The department of Chemistry is seeking qualified applicants to teach Analytical Chemistry lecture and laboratory sections for the upcoming academic year. Our first semester course in analytical chemistry emphasizes theory and applications of quantitative analytical techniques, including gravimetric, volumetric, and potentiometric analysis. The second semester continues from the first with a shift of focus to modern instrumental methods with emphasis on optical techniques, nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and mass spectrometry. Requirements: Applicants should have completed a Masters or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry. Particularly strong candidates will have demonstrated past experience in teaching this subject, both in lecture and in the laboratory. At the University's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be excepted where the candidate can demonstrate, to the satisfaction of the University, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position.
