Job Description Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and passionate culinary professional to join our faculty as an instructor for our advance foodservice class. The successful candidate will be responsible for educating students on the principles of fundamental cookery techniques, protein fabrication, contemporary plating and, time management. This role includes developing and delivering curriculum, assessing student performance, and providing mentorship to future culinary professionals. Key Responsibilities:
  • Curriculum Development and Delivery:
    • Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans focused on fundamental cooking techniques.
    • Conduct lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on activities to facilitate student learning.
    • Ensure the curriculum aligns with industry standards and school objectives.
  • Student Assessment:
    • Evaluate student progress through quizzes, exams, practical assessments, and projects.
    • Provide constructive feedback to support student improvement and success.
    • Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
  • Industry Knowledge and Skill Development:
    • Teach students about plating techniques, protein cookery, time management, teamwork
    • Instruct on the identification and proper use of various culinary products, including meats, seafood, produce, and dry goods.
    • Share best practices for working collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Mentorship and Support:
    • Offer guidance and support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
    • Assist students in developing their professional skills and career pathways.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Prepare and update course materials, including syllabi, tests, handouts, and online resources.
    • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the culinary program and maintain high educational standards.
  • Qualifications Qualifications:
    • Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the culinary industry. Previous teaching experience is a plus.
    • Skills: Strong knowledge of culinary techniques. Excellent communication, organizational, and instructional skills.
    • Certifications: Relevant culinary certifications (e.g., Certified Executive Chef)
