The Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) seeks an Adjunct Academic Counselor. The Educational Opportunity Program utilizes high-impact counseling and advising practices to support retention, persistence, good academic standing, degree completion, and the transfer aspirations for EOP students. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess one of the following:
The successful candidate will have experience with delivering comprehensive case management advising and a clear understanding of high-impact advising practices and tools. Effective oral and written communication skills are required. Proficiency in software systems including Microsoft Office applications, as well as a detail-oriented approach to data entry and tracking are also required. The successful candidate will be able to relate well with students and colleagues, have strong project management and facilitation skills, and have the ability to work with a team of diverse faculty, staff and students.
All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of first-generation community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity-minded practice.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Familiarity with delivering comprehensive case management advising is preferred. Bilingual verbal and written fluency strongly preferred.

POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.
WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule is 28 hours per week.
HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $51.50 per hour. No benefits. This is a grant funded position.
