Location and Position Details

This position is based in East Hanover, NJ, and is not remote. This is one of five similar positions available.

About The Role

The Insights and Decision Science (IDS) team at Novartis focuses on leveraging data and analytics to improve decision-making and drive business growth. Reporting to the Director of Integrated Field Deployment and GTM Analytics, you will evaluate brand performance and support field teams through comprehensive data analysis, identifying success drivers and areas for improvement to optimize strategies and territory coverage.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of Novartis field teams at the brand level to ensure strategic goals are met.
  • Analyze internal studies and surveys to identify pain points and success factors.
  • Perform brand-level analyses such as NBRx, TRx, and prescribing activity trends.
  • Support field teams with insights on KOL engagement and field activity.
  • Assess sample shipment data to inform distribution decisions.
  • Review adherence to internal tools and compare high vs. low adopters.
  • Identify route and schedule optimization opportunities for efficient territory coverage.
  • Candidate Profile and Requirements

    Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, particularly with product launches and business development. Proven leadership, strategic thinking, and strong analytical skills are essential.

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's or MBA preferred.
    • At least 8 years of relevant industry experience.
    • Proficiency in analytics tools like SQL, Python, or R.
    • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations.
    • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical market dynamics.
    • Ability to collaborate across functions and solve problems proactively.
    Compensation and Benefits

    Salary range: $152,600 - $283,400 annually, subject to market and individual factors. Benefits include potential bonuses, stock units, comprehensive healthcare, 401(k), paid time off, and more. Final compensation will be determined at offer.
