We are seeking an actuarial professional to drive the advancement of our pricing and analytical capabilities within AIG's North America Financial Lines team. This is an exciting position focused on pricing, modeling, and advanced analytics for our Cyber and Professional Liability product lines. The actuary will help elevate the technical capabilities of the team through dynamic work projects such as profitability studies, predictive modeling, planning support, and building out portfolio management and monitoring tools. The individual will be a trusted business partner, working closely with the underwriting and claims departments to ensure profitable performance and growth.
How you will create an impact:
- Perform and communicate the results of pricing studies for Cyber & Professional liability product segments
- Construct & maintain advanced models for various business functions such as pricing or claim monitoring
- Work closely with underwriting business partners to review market trends, understand portfolio shifts, identify pockets of profitable business, monitor emerging issues, and help management develop and quantify the impact of underwriting actions
- Help advance the broader Financial Lines team's ability to perform deeper analytics such as ranges of reasonability, sensitivity testing, simulation, and optimal portfolio mix
- Support the annual profit study & planning process
- Support the reinsurance placement process from a data and analytics standpoint
- Ensure model validation and documentation standards are met
What you'll need to succeed:
- BS in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related area
- Minimum ACAS credential, FCAS preferred
- 7 years or more experience, Cyber and/or Professional Liability familiarity preferred
- Experience in SQL & R/Python required, experience with predictive modeling preferred
- Driven & intellectually curious, with an innate drive to continuously learn and innovate

For positions based in New York, the base salary range is $138,000-$178,000 and for the positions based in New Jersey, the base range is $126,000-$163,000. In addition, the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. In addition, we're proud to offer a range of competitive benefits.
