Activity Instructor: Music (Boys Excellence) - GOOD SHEPHERD SERVICES : Job Details

The Music Activity Instructor is to provide music workshops and activities for young people to learn new skills; as well as an avenue for self-development, exploration, and expression. Reports to: Program Director, Uncommon Boys Excellence Charter School Location: 225 Patchen Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11233 Hours: Up to 12 hours a week; Non-Exempt Schedule: Flexibile schedule, Monday - Thursday, 4 pm to 6 pm, Friday, 12 pm to 4 pm MAJOR DUTIES: Design, plan and conduct activities and workshops in specified areas of education, specifically music and the performing arts. Submit lesson/activity plans in-advance. Conduct activities enriched with music skills whenever possible. Plan and implement a culminating event or project. Complete daily progress reports and attendance. Manage setup, operation and clean-up of activities and the organization, inventory and storing of relevant supplies and equipment.
