Gracy Woods II Living Center is seeking a highly motivated and personable Activity Director to enrich the lives of our residents and improve their quality of life. The ideal candidate should possess the following characteristics and experience:

Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly newsletters for distribution to residents and families.
• Develop and pursue a diverse program of meaningful activities and events that address physical, spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, vocational, and cognitive needs.
• Greet new residents and their families upon move-in to welcome them to the facility.
• Coordinate with community groups such as pet therapy, schools, churches, and entertainers to enhance resident engagement.
• Decorate common areas for special events and holidays.
• Conduct individual and group activities and interactions.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and manage activity budgets.
• Attend weekly Care Plan meetings.
• Document resident participation in activities.

Job Requirements:

• Certification as required by state regulations for activity directors.
• Pass a criminal background check.
• Possess a compassionate spirit and enthusiasm for working with the elderly.
• Experience working with seniors; flexibility to work between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm, including weekends on occasion.
• Proficient in written and verbal English.
• Computer literacy and ability to learn or use software programs.
• MDS experience is preferred but not required.
