Pay Range:

• Wages start at $18 and pay scale increases based on experience and licensure.

This is a full time position, working a rotating weekend schedule (one weekend on, one weekend off), 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.

At The Refuge, a Healing Place, we specialize in unraveling the trauma story, understanding the addiction/mental health disorder and creating a recovery story! We are a residential treatment center specializing in trauma treatment, substance use disorders, eating disorders, PTSD, and other mental health disorders.

Activity Coordinator Responsibilities:

• Complete activity assessment through client observation and client/family interview, obtaining information on client's needs, skills, interests and limitations for the development and implementation of the treatment plan.

• Plan, organize, direct and implement an activities program within the treatment program to facility client progress with treatment goals

• Facilitate and lead activity sessions to improve client mental and physical well-being

• Engage clients in therapeutic activities, such as exercise, games, and community outings.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy or related field required.

• 2+ years experience in recreation in a healthcare setting required.
