Pay Range:
This is a full time position, working a rotating weekend schedule (one weekend on, one weekend off), 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm.
At The Refuge, a Healing Place, we specialize in unraveling the trauma story, understanding the addiction/mental health disorder and creating a recovery story! We are a residential treatment center specializing in trauma treatment, substance use disorders, eating disorders, PTSD, and other mental health disorders.
Activity Coordinator Responsibilities:
Complete activity assessment through client observation and client/family interview, obtaining information on client's needs, skills, interests and limitations for the development and implementation of the treatment plan.
Plan, organize, direct and implement an activities program within the treatment program to facility client progress with treatment goals
Facilitate and lead activity sessions to improve client mental and physical well-being
Engage clients in therapeutic activities, such as exercise, games, and community outings.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Recreational Therapy or related field required.
2+ years experience in recreation in a healthcare setting required.
