Key Responsibilities- Schedule and coordinate physical inventories and cycle counts, with opportunities to develop leadership skills.- Prepare and distribute physical inventory recaps for management.- Develop and review inventory control procedures.- Write SOP packets as self-learning tools.- Oversee pallet breakdown of store returns and process related documents.- Work with Customer Service and union labor to ensure prompt return to stock.- Identify and resolve internal shrink problems, understanding their impact on costs and margins.- Learn and apply reason codes for inventory adjustments, including damage, spoilage, and vendor returns.- Review warehouse outs and inventory adjustments daily.- Interpret daily code reports, mark out reports, and variance reports.- Communicate with Buyers to resolve inventory issues.- Track salvage programs and report weekly figures.- Maintain record retention in accordance with policies.- Collaborate with Accounting for compliance reviews.- Participate in periodic inventory counts.- Follow supervisor directives on daily tasks and projects.

Compensation and LocationHourly wage ranges from $22 to $23.50, based on experience, location, and qualifications. The role is based in Brea, California.A full job description is available upon request.

Qualifications- Recent college graduates with degrees in accounting, finance, marketing, management, behavioral sciences, or related fields, or equivalent experience.- Basic computer skills and experience with data entry.- Effective communication skills.- Customer service orientation.- Analytical and mathematical skills, including basic grocery calculations.- Flexibility to work hours as needed.- Experience in the food industry is a plus.- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced warehouse environment.- Attention to detail and independence in judgment.- Ability to analyze data and collaborate across departments.

Physical Environment- Office conditions with some time on the warehouse floor.- Ability to work in varying temperatures from -10F to 75F.- Movement around the warehouse with machinery hazards present.
