Accounts Receivable Specialist - Inotiv : Job Details

As an Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist, you'll be a key contributor on our Shared Services team, helping to ensure accurate cash application and supporting the collections process to drive timely cash flow.

Location: Indianapolis, IN Castleton area (onsite daily)

Schedule: Day Hours (example: 8a - 4p) Compensation: $19$24/hour (commensurate with experience and education) Job Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

What You'll Do

• Post incoming cash to customer accounts and resolve unapplied payments
• Collaborate with collectors to support ongoing cash collection efforts
• Contact customers to facilitate payment on past due invoices
• Investigate and resolve customer issues related to overdue invoices
• Partner with Customer Service to address and resolve invoicing concerns
• Help reduce aging receivables and improve the overall collection cycle

What We're Looking For

• Education:
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED plus 13 years of relevant experience will be considered
• Skills & Experience:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate accounting systems
  • Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage meticulous records
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
