Accounts Receivable Specialist - Randstad : Job Details

You'll manage customer billing, track outstanding balances, process payments, and reconcile accounts. You'll also work closely with the company's current bookkeeper, who handles accounts payable.This is a full-time, in-person position in Riverhead. • Billing & Invoicing
• Generate and distribute accurate customer invoices in a timely manner.
• Maintain and update customer information management, including but not limited to, billing addresses, contact information, payment terms, to ensure clean data and efficient collections.
• Ensure that all sales and services are properly invoiced per agreed-upon terms.
• Coordinate with the warehouse and sales teams to verify order fulfillment before billing.
• Payment Processing
• Record customer payments via check, ACH, credit card, or other methods.
• Apply payments to corresponding invoices in accounting software (QuickBooks).
• Monitor and reconcile customer accounts to ensure accurate balances.
• Collections
• Monitor aging reports and follow up with customers on past-due accounts.
• Send payment reminders and collaborate with customers to resolve outstanding balances.
• Escalate delinquencies appropriately and recommend credit hold status when needed.
• Reporting & Reconciliation
• Prepare weekly A/R aging reports for leadership and bookkeeper review.
• Assist in monthly closings and end-of-year reconciliations.
• Reconcile A/R ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and posted correctly.
