Accounts Receivable Specialist

Accounting responsibilities related to all Goodwill Industries business units and the preparation of daily cash, accounts receivable and reconciliation transactions.

Location: Gorham, Maine

Job Summary: Accounting responsibilities related to all Goodwill Industries business units and the preparation of daily cash, accounts receivable and reconciliation transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares bank reconciliation for the agency's primary operations accounts.
  • Maintains and reconciles daily cash receipts for all business units.
  • Maintains retail transaction excel spreadsheets.
  • Tracks daily retail store deposits.
  • Tracks vouchers and gift cards issued.
  • Prepares invoices.
  • Monitors aged receivables and initiates collection.
  • Engages management in any A/R problems.
  • Communicates with clients regarding billing discrepancies and questions.
  • Monitors state contracts.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in finance.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of general office practices.
  • Criminal background check that meets agency standards.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change.
  • Ability to work in an open office environment.
  • Works well on and with a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting.
