Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Lincolnshire, IL 60069

We are seeking a detail-oriented and communicative Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing key accounts, submitting invoices through customer portals, and maintaining accurate documentation and correspondence. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building customer relationships are essential, along with the ability to stay on top of high-volume tasks and support month-end reporting and collections.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage accounts receivable to align with departmental and organizational objectives
• Post billing adjustments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Process incoming payments, including lockbox and wire transfers.
• Maintain and update customer credit rating documentation.
• Track Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) monthly to support collection efficiency.
• Generate and distribute AR aging and other financial reports as requested by the Controller.
• Contribute to monthly and year-end financial close processes
• Apply all received cash payments by the end of each month.
• Finalize all month-end AR closing tasks within established deadlines including ledger reconciliations and reporting schedules
• Serve as backup for Accounts Payable Specialist

Qualifications:

• Preferred 5 years of accounts receivable experience
• Associates degree in a business-related field
• Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP and Excel
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professional communication
• High attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Deadline driven and goal oriented
