Job Title: Accounts Receivable Associate (Must have healthcare experience)

ONSITE IRVING, TX

Job Overview:

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing outstanding denied claims with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance companies. Your main tasks will include following up with insurance companies to check claim status, reviewing medical records requests, and submitting required documentation to payors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review insurance denials and take appropriate action.
• Check claim status via phone or portal.
• Submit medical records upon request and follow up on submissions.
• Submit HCFA claims to insurance companies that do not accept electronic claims.
• Work closely with insurance companies to resolve claims disputes.
• Identify and resolve billing errors, implementing processes to prevent future issues.
• Communicate process errors to optimize revenue cycle management.
• Utilize payor portals to gather claims status information.
• Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from insurance companies, patients, and clients, ensuring excellent customer service.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS guidelines, and payor-specific policies.
• Communicate regularly with insurance companies.
• Meet or exceed production and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of accounts receivable (AR) experience.
• Strong understanding of Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) to determine denial reasons and appropriate actions.
• Basic experience using medical billing software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general internet use for business.
• Moderate knowledge of CPT, ICD-10 coding.
• Preferred:
• Associates degree in accounting, finance, healthcare administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• On-site in Irving for the first 3-6 months for training.
