We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Receivable Analyst to join our healthcare finance team. This position is responsible for managing and analyzing outstanding receivables from insurance carriers, with a focus on securing timely and accurate reimbursements. The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare billing, insurance follow-up, and denial management, combined with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze invoices, insurance payments, and outstanding claims to ensure appropriate reimbursement.
  • Follow up with insurance carriers via phone, email, and web portals to resolve pending, denied, or underpaid claims.
  • Prepare and submit appeals and dispute letters for denied or underpaid claims.
  • Develop and maintain tracking tools to monitor batches of unresolved claims and escalate issues as needed.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of insurance contracts and payer-specific guidelines.
  • Collaborate with internal departments—including billing, compliance, and clinical teams—to resolve documentation or coding discrepancies.
  • Accurately document all collection efforts and correspondence in the appropriate systems.
  • Escalate high-value or time-sensitive claims through proper internal channels for resolution.
  • Support monthly reporting and reconciliation of accounts receivable aging.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in healthcare billing and accounts receivable required.
  • Strong understanding of insurance reimbursement practices, denial management, and payer policy guidelines.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and medical billing software.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred.
