Junior Accounts Payable Associate

A multi-billion-dollar company in the Hicksville area is seeking a motivated Junior Accounts Payable Associate for a long-term temporary assignment (6-7+ months, with the possibility to extend). This is an excellent resume-building opportunity for recent accounting & finance grads; no experience required.

The office is modern, beautiful, and conveniently located. Once trained you'll have the flexibility to start your day earlier or later than 9:00AM.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and code invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts
  • Assist with vendor statement reconciliations
  • Prepare and process check runs and electronic payments
  • Maintain and organize AP files and documentation
  • Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with month-end closing tasks related to Accounts Payable
  • Support the Accounting team with ad-hoc projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 0-2 years of professional experience (ideal for candidates starting their accounting/finance career)
  • Eager to learn, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
