Job Overview We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounts payable activities, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting internal and external stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute end-to-end accounts payable processes.
- Review, verify, and process invoices and payment requests in a timely manner.
- Perform payment runs, including checks, ACH transfers, and wires.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or payment issues.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records within the accounting system.
- Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and efficiently.
- Provide guidance and education on AP procedures to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with month-end closing activities such as accruals and reconciliations.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and controls.
- Support additional finance projects and initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- Knowledge of 1099 processing and reporting requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and efficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to change and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with ERP systems (preferred).
