We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Liberty, South Carolina. This is a contract-to-permanent position ideal for professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment within the food and food processing industry. The role involves managing various aspects of accounts payable while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Process accounts payable invoices on a weekly basis, handling approximately 50-80 invoices with more expected as operations expand.
  • Perform critical three-way matching for purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure accuracy.
  • Scan and organize shipping documents and related paperwork for recordkeeping.
  • Review invoice line items to identify and address any discrepancies.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing, shipping, and customer service departments to resolve issues related to invoices.
  • Post deposits and reconcile accounts payable, occasionally assisting with accounts receivable.
  • Maintain vendor files and foster strong relationships through regular communication.
  • Conduct analysis and research to support accurate financial reporting.
  • Utilize basic Excel skills to manage data and support accounting tasks.
  • Work with the Plex system to ensure smooth processing and documentation of financial transactions.
  • Requirements:

    • Proven experience in accounts payable processes, including coding and processing invoices.
    • Familiarity with purchase orders and three-way matching procedures.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
    • Effective communication skills for vendor interactions and internal collaboration.
    • Proficiency in basic Excel functions for data management and reporting.
    • Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies through research and analysis.
    • Experience with scanning documents and data entry for record maintenance.
    • Knowledge of vendor file management and maintaining accurate records.
