Accounting Specialist - Jacksonville, FL Location: Jacksonville, FL 100% On-site Pay: $54k-$56k Role Overview: Support the financial management and daily operations of the organization by maintaining accurate accounting records and preparing detailed financial reports. Ensure all accounting activities are performed in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and follow organizational policies and standards.
Key Responsibilities - Perform a range of accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial records. This includes account reconciliations, preparing and posting journal entries, managing accounts payable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and other assigned processes.
- Prepare, review, and analyze accounting records and financial statements to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting and procedural guidelines.
- Develop reports for use by auditors and regulatory agencies as required.
- Carry out all accounting functions in line with established organizational policies and procedures.
- Maintain regular communication with other departments to gather necessary information or to resolve transaction discrepancies.
- Notify management of relevant activities and promptly report any significant issues or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Requirements - Experience: Three to five years of similar or related experience required. At least one to two years of accounting experience in a finance-related industry is essential.
- Education: Associate's degree (two-year college) OR Completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school OR Completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program
- Banking experience
Pay Details: $54,000.00 to $56,000.00 per year
