This role reports to the Director, GroupAccounting and provides services to the Americas region. The person in this role will be viewed as akey leader in the month-end close process, providing guidance on accountingtopics, and evaluating results for accuracy.This person will partner with business finance to provide collaborativesupport to the Americas business entities.

Key TasksOversee the process of the month-end close to ensure reporting is delivered by deadlinesPerforms financial analysis and ensures accounts are reconciled, journal entries approvedParticipate in the development of accounting procedures to improve efficiency and control over financial reportingCompile information for regulatory requirements and auditsWork with external auditors to provide requests and ensure understanding or risks tested to complete the audit efficientlyWork with stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting within financial statements.Ensure internal controls are followed in accordance with policyReview and institute ways to streamline processes across the region to reduce workload Manage accounting team

Your BackgroundBachelor's degree in accounting 7+ years of experienceStrong understanding of US GAAP and IFRSLarge ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics or Microsoft AX is a plusUnderstanding of Accounting and Financial processes including risk and financial controlsManagement of staff - at least 5 yearsOtherqualifications or experiences.
