Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr

ADWEEK is seeking an Accounting Manager to serve as a leader, subject matter expert, and teammate on all accounting and financial reporting responsibilities. The role to be heavily invested in accounting processes and internal controls, management of the Accounts Payable and cash collections teams, tax compliance ownership, and future-focused accounting improvements. The Accounting Manager will be reporting to the Senior Controller. Please note this is a hybrid role that requires you to be onsite in ADWEEK's Manhattan office 3 days a week.

About the Role

Specifically, your impact will be based on:

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
• Manage timely month end financial close process, including entering and approval of month end AJE's
• Own and optimize internal control compliance across the company
• Preparation and review of balance sheet account reconciliations
• Coordinate the annual audit and supply external auditors with supporting documents and account reconciliations
• Ensure company compliance with existing internal controls
• Maintenance of fixed asset register and application of ASC 842
• Calculation and recording of internal capitalized software development and implementation of project-based amortization
• Oversee and ensure that cash is reconciled to the bank daily
• Timely handling of tax notices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 5-10 years of accounting experience

Required Skills

• CPA preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Advanced Excel skills preferred
• Understanding of ASC 842
• Ability to prioritize and deliver within short/tight deadlines and with high precision
• Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on management capacity
