Position OverviewThe Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is seeking a manager of Accounting Operations. This position manages all accounting operations of the Department and supervises staff under the various areas of accounting: Grants Management and Closeout, Accounts Control Operations, Cash Management, and Cash Accounts Control. The ideal candidate has in depth knowledge in the application of both Federal Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and the state's Grant Accountability and Transparency Act (GATA) to the administration of state and federal grant programs. The candidate will formulate and implement agency wide accounting policies for the administration of more than 30 appropriated funds with annual expenditures in excess of $1 billion. The ideal candidate will have significant experience managing grants as both the grantee and granter. This position requires supervisory experience, with supervisory responsibility for 5 to 10 staff . We welcome interested applicants with strong leadership and accounting skills to apply.
