This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced construction environment and is confident managing competing priorities.Key Responsibilities Of The Accounting Manager

• The Accounting Manager will lead monthly close activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, roll forwards, and financial statement preparation.
• Oversee the Work-in-Process (WIP) schedule reporting process—ensuring project billing, costs, and revenues are accurately reflected.
• The Accounting Manager is responsible for ensuring sales tax compliance and 1099 issuance for designated business units.
• Provide oversight for accounts payable processes and support Staff Accountants to ensure accurate transactional reporting.
• Support financial audits, insurance audits, and general ledger reviews as a proactive Accounting Manager.
• Collaborate cross-functionally across departments to drive process improvements, system upgrades, and special projects.
• As the Accounting Manager, contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis efforts on a monthly and annual basis.

Preferred Qualifications For The Accounting Manager

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (required)
• 5+ years in corporate accounting; construction industry experience is required
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, or PeopleSoft
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas)
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset
• Ability to lead, mentor, and work independently as an Accounting Manager
