Job Description :

The General Accounting Manager ensures accurate and timely completion of all daily and month-end financial activities, while fostering a collaborative environment that values high quality results. This role is responsible for overseeing the Senior Accountant, general ledger, financial accuracy, reconciliations, SOX and GAAP compliance, and supporting budget and audit processes. To be an initiative-taking leader who delegates effectively, develops team members, and continuously seeks process improvements to maintain operational excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·Lead, coach, and empower the accounting team, ensuring clear delegation of tasks and promoting a supportive work environment.

·Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

·Participate in the month-end and year-end close processes, proactively identifying and resolving issues to meet deadlines efficiently.

·Ensure all financial reporting, SOX, and GAAP compliance requirements are met.

·Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to review aging reports and clear outstanding items.

·Supervise and support the preparation and review of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

·Oversee treasury activities, including ACH and wire payments, fraud alerts, and bank reconciliations.

·Foster a culture of continuous improvement by recommending and implementing process enhancements for efficiency and accuracy.

·Intercompany confirmations and GIT report.

·Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing schedules and documentation as needed.

·Support the preparation of annual budgets.

·Active participation and involvement in internal and external audits and monthly SOX compliance.

·Responsible to close all audit open items and maintain compliance.

·Delegate routine and special projects appropriately, ensuring team members have growth opportunities and manageable workloads.

·Provide regular feedback, performance evaluations, and professional development for direct reports.

·Ensure open communication and collaboration across finance and other departments.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS include the following.

·Preferred SAP experience

·Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)

·Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP & IFRS)

·Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

·To deliver in a monthly basis all the reconciliations under their responsibility and participate and take ownership during the internal audits.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

·Bachelor's degree required; preferably in Accounting or related business field

·Four+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team leadership
