We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting functions, ensuring precise financial management and reporting. This position is pivotal in supporting the Accounting, AP/AR, and Payroll processes.

We are seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our accounting functions, ensuring precise financial management and reporting. This position is pivotal in supporting the Accounting, AP/AR, and Payroll processes.Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly close process, ensuring timely development of financial statements for all companies.
• Prepare worksheets, trial balances, and record journal entries for accruals and recurring/standard activities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to develop, document, and administer accounting and business controls, including inventory management and AR/AP policies.
• Maintain and update weekly/monthly business performance dashboards, analyze data, and provide feedback and recommendations on key variances and opportunities.
• Monitor inventory valuation, create usage reports, identify slow-moving inventory, and process inventory adjustments.
• Review and reconcile payroll submitted to the third-party payroll company, ensuring accuracy in general ledger posting.
• Maintain fixed asset records and related depreciation schedules, including preparation of municipal property tax declarations.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of budget and forecast models.
• Prepare weekly corporate KPIs for CFO and CEO.
• Ensure compliance with weekly 13-week cash flow reports and certificates.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly bank compliance certificates.
• Oversee AP, AR, and Payroll processes.
• Handle ad hoc requests from the private equity firm and assist with financial audits.
• Oversee insurance renewals, including property, casualty, and executive lines.

Essential Skills

• At least 5 years of experience in Accounting, preferably at the Manager level.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general ledger, month-end processes, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of cost accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.

Work EnvironmentThis role requires on-site presence in Westbrook, ME, five days per week. The company has recently invested in a new SQF-certified facility, ensuring enhanced food safety and production capabilities.
