Accounting Manager

Job Overview: Our CPA and advisory client located in Hiawatha, IA is seeking to add a new Accounting Manager to their team. The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading and managing a team of accounting professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting, a proven track record of leadership, and a passion for delivering high-quality accounting services to clients.

This is a Direct Hire role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure successful project completion and professional development.
• Supervise and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulatory standards, and adherence to best practices.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and providing strategic financial guidance.
• Oversee the preparation of accounting services and other financial reports, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to clients.
• Collaborate with partners and senior management to develop strategies for business growth and client acquisition.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and changes in accounting standards to ensure compliance and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' accounting experience, including some in public accounting.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
